Systems and Document Control Intern, Utility Deployment
The Systems and Document Control Intern will report directly to the Systems & Document Control Lead for APAC. This role will sit within the Tesla utility deployment team in the region, responsible for deploying Tesla’s utility-scale battery product, “Megapack,” on EPC construction and supply only deals. As an intern in our document management team, you'll gain hands on experience in the sustainable energy sector, focusing on the timely, accurate preparation, distribution, and management of critical documents. This includes supporting the APAC Megapack project portfolio through precise submittals, numbering conventions, and revision control. You'll ensure quality assurance by reviewing documents for completeness, compliance, and correct numbering; maintaining up-to-date registers and file structures; managing uploads, registrations, and indexing of documents (e.g., drawings, reports, technical specs); creating distribution lists for seamless team coordination; and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Supporting the deployment team in delivery of APAC portfolio of megapack projects with accurate document submittal, numbering convention and revision control
- Manage documentation processes: Upload, register, and index incoming and outgoing documents (e.g. drawings, reports, technical documents).
- Quality Control: Review documents for completeness, compliance with standards, and correct numbering.
- Maintain accurate, up to date document registers and file structures.
- Create and maintain distribution lists for interface management, ensuring effective communication and coordination across teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe and other document creation software.
- Familiarity with document management systems (e.g. Procore, Aconex or similar) and project tracking tools.
- Self starter, with a passion for driving the transition to sustainable energy.
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to interact effectively with project teams and external stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Some experience in document control, project administration, or a similar role, preferably in energy or construction projects.
