Systems Administrator
As a member of the IT department reporting to the IT Manager, the Systems Administrator provides on-site support for hardware and software issues. This role demands a technically strong, detail-oriented professional who takes ownership of IT support requests, contributes to documentation and policy, and delivers excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues for Windows 11 desktops and laptops; re-image devices per baseline configuration standards
- Support mobile device troubleshooting and setup, including iOS and MiFi devices
- Provide support for printers, scanners, and miscellaneous peripheral IT devices
- Apply patches to software classified as above-baseline
- Administer and troubleshoot user environments using Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Azure and Microsoft 365
- Log and resolve incidents within an IT ticketing system
- Maintain asset and configuration databases to reflect hardware lifecycle changes
- Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
- Assist with new user setup, onboarding, and end-user training as needed
- Contribute to IT policy, procedure, and knowledge base documentation
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Lift or move equipment up to 50 lbs. as required
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution (preferred)
- Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, or similar) a plus
- Experience working within a military or federal government environment a plus
- Administration experience with iOS, Android, Linux, and/or databases a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools: Outlook, Excel, Word.

Minimum 3 years of IT infrastructure and support experience, including:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012 through 2025 — administration and configuration
- Windows 11 desktop and laptop configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Standard network protocols — working knowledge required
- System deployments; STIGS experience (a plus)
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft 365
- Office 365 applications: Teams, Outlook, Office suite
- Microsoft Azure cloud platform
- NIST 800-171
- CMMC
- Excellent telephone, written, and verbal communication and customer service skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated knowledge of IT security principles and practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work a modified, flexible, or extended schedule when required.
- This position may require a modified, flexible or extended work schedule with extended hours when required.
- Occasional travel to other PURVIS offices may be required.
