Instructor or Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Job Summary: The Department of Mathematics at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) invites applications for a continuing Instructor or Assistant Professor of Mathematics. Description of Job Duties: The successful candidate will teach developmental, General Education, support courses, and possibly upper-level courses in Mathematics. This position will include at least some online instruction each semester. Teaching responsibilities include Prep for College Math, Math Concepts / Math Concepts Support, Math Applications / Math Applications Support, College Algebra / College Algebra Support, and Structural Concepts in Mathematics. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Teaching assignments mentioned above Maintaining weekly office hours appropriate to course load Participating in early grade alert systems and assessing student outcomes Participating in departmental assessment Advising students and supporting student activities Continuing professional development
