Survey Project Manager (PLS)
As a Survey Project Manager in our client's Charlotte, NC office, you’ll support and lead a variety of surveying projects while working closely with a Licensed Surveyor and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll manage project workflows, including crew scheduling, daily assignments, and the development of deed work maps and base maps. You’ll apply your expertise in ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, boundary surveys, topographic mapping, construction layout, and GPS surveying to deliver high-quality results. You’ll primarily work in the office, with occasional field involvement, contributing to the successful execution of survey projects and integrated client solutions.Key Responsibilities:
Manage survey projects, including scheduling field crews, coordinating daily assignments, and overseeing project deliverables
Prepare and review deed research, boundary analysis, base maps, and survey documentation
Provide technical oversight, including quality assurance/quality control of survey procedures and final work products
Support business development efforts and contribute to the growth of survey services through client engagement and internal collaboration
Collaborate with other company practices to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary project solutions
Mentor and train survey staff, supporting professional development and assisting with recruiting efforts
Promote and maintain safety standards and consistent procedures across field and office survey operations
Qualifications:
5+ years of land surveying experience
Professional Surveyor license or ability to obtain licensure
Experience managing survey projects including proposal preparation, budgeting, and billing review
Knowledge of land surveying principles, practices, and emerging technologies
Effectively communicate through written and verbal formats
Lead, mentor, and develop survey staff
Preferred Capabilities:
Experience with ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys and complex boundary analysis
Demonstrated success supporting business development and client relationship management
Experience collaborating with engineering and environmental teams on multidisciplinary projects
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Interest in growing survey services through networking and marketing initiatives
