Supply Chain Intern - Summer 2026
Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer we’re looking to add a Supply Chain Intern at our Orangeburg, SC site.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the student will support strategic inventory initiatives focused on improving material margin & ITO while working closely with Supply Chain Managers, Global Commodity Management, and Global Site Operations to identify inventory-reduction strategies, enhance operational performance, and contribute to smarter demand-management decisions.
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced supply chain environment while driving value for the business.
What a typical day looks like:
- Assist with analyzing inventory data for Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory and component-level liability data to identify high-risk items and inventory reduction opportunities.
- Conduct weekly E&O inventory analysis to identify variances, trends, and best practices to support during account reviews with SSCMs, PMs, and GAMs.
- Assist in site training, webinars, and implementation of inventory management tools.
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain managers, IT, legal, and other teams to ensure contractual inventory terms are digitized and maintained.
- Support executive-level initiatives, including Customer Collaboration Platform development, Inventory Liability Management, and automation of Contractually Claimable Inventory.
- Help identify and implement process improvements across global SIOP activities.
- Work with data from ERP and supply chain systems (e.g., Baan, Tableau) to develop actionable dashboards and reports.
- Assist in preparing presentations and business cases for leadership review.
Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with supply chain principles, sourcing strategy, or cost analysis is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations and engineering teams.
- Prior internship or coursework in procurement, logistics, or manufacturing is a bonus.
Internship Program Requirements:
- Available to start on May 26th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 minimum GPA
