What does an Audit Supervisor do at Grant Thornton?

As a Supervisor, you are the link between the audit team and the engagement leadership. You actively participate in the execution of audit assignments, combining technical expertise with team coaching and client interaction.

Project and client management:
You support the manager in planning and organising audit engagements and closely follow up on their execution. You ensure clear task allocation within the audit team and act as the primary point of contact for the client during the engagement. You monitor deadlines and progress, working mainly on-site at the client. You gradually gain more autonomy in managing specific parts of the file and combine accuracy with client orientation.

Technical responsibilities:
In addition to regular audit work, you participate in more specialised assignments such as consolidated financial statements and periodic reporting. You tailor your approach to the client context and think critically about risks, optimisations and solutions.

Coaching and team development:
You guide and coach junior and senior auditors during their assignments. You support them in their learning journey and help them grow in their roles. You create an open, stimulating working environment where learning is central and where collaboration leads to strong results.
