Job Overview

The Summer Coordinator at the Center on Poverty and Inequality at Georgetown Law will help with various administrative and communications functions during the busy summer months. Our center generates policy solutions to improve the lives of people experiencing poverty in the United States. Collaborating with government and movement leaders, we provide timely, evidenced-based ideas to impact decision-making, increase economic well-being, and advance racial and gender equity.

Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates events, convenings, meetings, webinars, interviews, calls, travel, and other activities

  • Tracks, collects, and organizes data on activities, outputs, and evidence of impact for use in fundraising, reporting, and communications efforts.

  • Develop internal and external communications materials and update the website.

  • Assist with copy-editing publications

  • Assists with grant proposals, agreements, setup, and reporting

 

Work Interactions

This position reports to Deputy Executive Director, Aileen Carr. Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director and provide support to the Center’s research and policy team. This position does not supervise students or staff.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace applications

  • Ability to manage a high volume of work with efficiency

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Professional, academic, or lived experience with issues related to poverty, economic justice, racial and gender equity

 

Work Mode Designation

This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.  Pay Range 

The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $19.35 - $23.65. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
