Role Overview
Monks is seeking a highly experienced Senior Strategy Director to join our expanding Strategy & Planning team in Spain. This leadership role focuses on developing and executing innovative social media strategies for prestigious clients, with a dedicated focus on brand awareness, marketing optimisation, and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee comprehensive social media strategies and paid plans that align strictly with client marketing objectives.

Content Oversight: Provide guidance to social media teams to ensure high-quality, engaging content execution across all digital platforms.

Data & Analytics: Analyse performance metrics to deliver in-depth reports and actionable insights that optimise ROI.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to maintain a cohesive brand voice and integrated messaging across all channels.

Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and leverage relationships with key stakeholders to inform high-level strategic decision-making.

Mentorship: Lead and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous professional growth.

Innovation: Monitor emerging digital technologies and social media best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
Background & Skills

Experience: Minimum 10–12 years in strategy and planning, ideally within a high-growth or agency environment.

Leadership: Proven ability to motivate and guide high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams.

Analytical Rigor: Expertise in interpreting complex social media metrics and translating raw data into strategic business insights.

Communication: Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to convey complex strategies to both internal teams and external executive stakeholders.

Strategic Mindset: A track record of executing innovative social strategies that drive tangible business results.

Education: Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
