Strategy and Innovation Director
Location: This role requires you to work from the posting location(s) 3 days per week including either a Monday or Friday. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location in Nashville, TN.

The Strategy and Innovation Director is responsible for providing business unit partners and CIOs with guidance on IT enablement strategies, aligning business.
How you will make an impact:
Aligns strategies with the overarching IT strategies and advancing technology solutions to support business growth and opportunities.
Performs partner evaluation (M&A, build-buy activities).
Supports the commercialized model where Carelon is developing software/portfolios of digital and technical solutions/products.
Serves as the ambassador for Carelon IT and business units to the Innovation and Digital teams.
Assists with transformation stage gates.
Supports IT and business partners with budget management, financials, and funding guidance.
Represents IT in client-facing discussions to drive growth and retention.
Supports partner evaluations (M&A, build-buy) by connecting IT and Business strategies and influencing adoption of Carelon technology differentiators into overall business strategy to Develop, Implement and Support strategic planning and roadmaps.
Advances innovative solutions that support business growth.
Acts as an IT partner for business ideation pipeline representing IT in solution ideation sessions.
Influences the delivery of new technology solutions to market faster.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 15 years’ experience in technology, product management, strategic planning, and/or consulting, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Experience in a healthcare or health plan environment highly preferred.
- MS in Cyber Security or similar field highly preferred.
- PMP or CSM certification highly preferred.
Experience leading cloud infrastructure migrations and implementations highly preferred.
- Experience managing large projects across multiple disciplines like Information Security, Network Engineering and Software Development highly preferred.
