Intern – Strategy, Analytics & PMO Support

Role Type: 3‑Month Internship
Reporting to: Chief of Staff, Universal Banking
Location: Mississauga (2-days per week in the office) 

Role Purpose

The role will support the Universal Banking Chief of Staff team across strategy execution, analytics, portfolio management (PMO), and executive support.

This role provides meaningful exposure to strategic planning, performance tracking, and process mapping, with exposure to how strategy is operationalized across Universal Banking.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Leadership Support

  • Support preparation of Leadership Team (LT) materials
  • Conduct basic research and light analysis to inform strategic priorities, business cases, or partnership assessments.
  • Draft or refine slides, summaries, and briefing notes for internal audiences.
  • Help ensure leadership receives timely, accurate, and well‑structured inputs.

2.  Analytics & Reporting

  • Gather data and update performance trackers used in reporting and dashboarding.
  • Support validation of data inputs from other sources 
  • Assist in preparing reporting packs for leadership meetings and reviews.
  • Leverage Power BI to refreshing datasets, valdidate data, support updates

3. PMO & Portfolio Management

  • Maintain initiative tracking (milestones, statuses, risks, dependencies).
  • Support RAID log upkeep and ensure entries are complete and current.
  • Help prepare materials for governance forums (inputs, trackers, follow‑ups).
  • Support standardization of templates and reporting formats as well as documentation of key process within the UBE business unit
  • Follow up with stakeholders for updates to support portfolio completeness.

4. Project & Executive Support

  • Track actions and decisions coming out of key meetings.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, briefing materials, and consolidated updates.
  • Coordinate inputs from teams across Universal Banking.

Skills & Experience

Designed for an undergraduate or graduate student interested in strategy, consulting, finance, analytics, or project delivery.

Preferred qualities:

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with numbers.
  • Solid proficiency with Excel; interest in learning Power BI or Smartsheet.
  • Strong communication and slide‑building skills.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive.
  • Comfortable coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to take initiative and learn quickly.
