SUMMARY

The Store Supplies Manager plans, monitors, and controls the flow of purchased supplies to meet store demands, balanced with inventory levels, in-stock position, and expense targets. Consists of about 700 items and approximately 70 vendors in 19 CVS distribution centers. This individual also facilitates cross function relationships in planning with Category Management, Marketing, Logistics, Asset Protection, Operations, etc.

Job Duties

  • Inventory Management – Maintain 98%+ in-stock position for assigned categories.  Management of critical items necessary for the operation of business (bags, vials, prescription labels, etc.).  Use of inventory replenishment systems to forecast and generate purchase orders and/or DC transfers for assigned categories based on lead-time, forecasting, store demand, order minimums, seasonality, etc.
  • Vendor Management – Monitor and maintain relationships with key suppliers. Tasks include, but not limited to, annual business reviews, quality issues, supply chain challenges/PO prioritization, delivery performance review (lead-time actual versus quoted), vendor changes, vendor support (payable, logistics processes), etc.
  • Item Management – Main point of contact for assigned departments for all new, revised, and discontinued items.  Includes item creation, vendor selection, distribution center communication, disposal of obsolete inventory, etc.  Work with all levels within the organization to plan new item rollouts. Maintain accurate pricing for all store supply items.
  • Project Management – Manage acquisitions, logistics activity (new DCs, store realignments, contingency planning), ad hoc initiatives, and fulfillment of specialized supply items to support pharmacy and front store initiatives.
  • Team Management – Manage the extended team and the tactical work completed by colleagues through: auditing work, training/retraining, issue resolution, guiding the team through all software introductions or changes, serving as a daily resource with guidance, question answering, issue resolution, process efficiencies, etc.
  • Communication – Main point of contact to assist with internal and field inquiries regarding supplies.
  • Miscellaneous – Reporting and analysis preparation, process efficiencies.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Purchasing/Inventory Management experience.
  • Proven experience to work independently, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Proven capability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Strong organizational skills, innovation and creativity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Blue Yonder and Stibo preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of work experience is required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
