Join The Crew
We are hiring a Store Planner to join our Merchandising, Planning, & Allocation team. This position reports to the Director, Planning and takes Away further by optimizing inventory investment and assortment across our 17 retail locations and digital channel. This role sits at the intersection of Allocation, Merchandise Planning, and Store Operations, ensuring that the right product is in the right store at the right time. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of inventory—from high-level financial planning and assortment curation to the granular execution of unit allocations.
What you’ll do as the Store Planner
You’ll partner with Finance and the Merch Planning Director to develop and maintain store-level revenue plans, reconciling top-down financial targets with bottom-up store performance trends
You’ll manage the OTB process for the retail fleet, ensuring inventory levels support sales plans while meeting turnover and margin goals
You’ll ensure inventory strategies are cohesive across our 17 owned stores as well as the e-commerce channel, managing stock buffers and shared inventory pools effectively
You’ll collaborate with the Merchandising team to build store-specific assortments based on climate, demographics, and historical performance (Store Tiering)
You’ll identify Best Sellers and Slow Movers by location, provide actionable recommendations to the Buying team for future seasons
You’ll partner with store teams to understand physical capacity and ensure assortments fit within the footprint of each unique location
You’ll own the execution of initial allocations for new launches and seasonal floorsets across all 17 stores
You’ll monitor daily and weekly sell-through, building regular replenishment triggers to maintain optimal stock depth
You’ll provide regular reporting to the Director of Merch Planning on inventory health, stock-to-sales ratios, and risks/opportunities
You’ll maintain a feedback loop with Store Managers and District Managers to understand hyper-local trends, competitive shifts, and specific store needs
You’ll work hand in hand with the operations team to manage needs of the 3PLs, ensuring that delivery schedules are correct for all parties
Who you are
You have a minimum of 3 years in Retail Planning, Allocation, and/or Assortment Analysis; experience in a multi-unit retail environment (10–50 stores) is highly preferred, but not required
You’re a cross-functional connector with experience in navigating highly-matrixed cross-functional teams across marketing, stores, operations, planning and merchandising
You have advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, complex formulas) and experience with BI tools or Planning software (e.g., Oracle, Blue Yonder, SAP)
You have a deep understanding of standard planning processes, including OTB, GMROI, Turn, Weeks of Supply (WOS), and Sell-Through
You have a strategic mindset, with the ability to see the "big picture" of a 17-store chain while executing the "small details" of a single-unit allocation.
You’re a strong communicator with the ability to present data-driven insights to senior leadership and non-analytical partners in Merchandising and Operations
You’re passionate about retail, with a strong ability to connect and build rapport with store teams, elicit feedback from the field, and summarize key learnings to apply to the entire retail channel both in-season and pre-season
You’re creative and innovative; you love to build great new things that are fresh and unique while staying on brand
You’re agile, and motivated by a fast-paced and ever changing environment
You’re passionate about transforming travel for all (but that’s a given!)
Excited to join the team, but not sure you meet all of the qualifications? Please apply, we’d still love to hear from you.
