The State Regulatory Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the compilation and completion of state filings, regulatory filings, and/or premium taxes for all companies. Reviewing assessments for accuracy and submitting payment requests for final approval. Documenting job task procedures. Developing PC applications using spreadsheets (Excel) and/or database programming language (Access). Researching compliance issues and implementing procedures to meet requirements.

This position will be in Omaha Nebraska, and up to 50% hybrid after a period of on site training at manager discretion.  This position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship. 

What will you do?

  • Calculates premium taxes, fees and assessments for various states based on state regulations, insurance coverages, and premium volume, allocating such costs to appropriate underwriting segments.

  • Reviews standard regulatory and industry bulletins to identify changes in state and insurance regulatory regulations which impact statutory statistical data requirements.

  • Reviews Boards, Bureaus and Guaranty Associations assessments based on insurance statistics for accuracy, allocates cost to National Indemnity companies and submits payment requests for final approval.

  • Researches issues related to new and/or changing regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Develops and modifies personal computer program applications using Excel and Access database software to create various summaries and/or worksheets for monthly, quarterly and annual reports, and/or statements.

  • Communicates orally and in writing with Company personnel, state regulatory agencies and reporting bureaus.

What are we looking for?

  • College degree with major in math, accounting, statistics or equivalent in experience in insurance accounting, statistics or MIS

  • 1-2 years related work experience
