About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned product manager to join our Consumer Product team. This team is responsible for reaching more customers who need life insurance and estate planning services, and building a delightful, low friction onboarding experience that gets them excited to protect their families.

The ideal candidate will combine an understanding of customer acquisition, consumer psychology and consumer needs, first principles thinking, and creativity to envision delightful customer experiences. They’ll drive experimentation and strong execution to deliver results. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial product leader who is passionate about advocating on behalf of users and driving business growth, demonstrates a high degree of ownership, and is looking to join a team with a clear mission and purpose.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build low friction, personalized onboarding and underwriting experiences tailored to the acquisition channel, consumer needs, and where the consumer is in their purchasing journey
  • Educate consumers on their need for life insurance and estate planning, and build excitement and motivation to complete their purchase
  • Understand users’ needs and financial profile so we can recommend the right insurance product and estate plan, and identify up-sell and x-sell opportunities
  • Help consumers select the right amount of coverage to protect their families
  • Partner with compliance and security teams to ensure our user experience safeguards consumer data and satisfies regulatory requirements
  • Strengthen other PMs’ ideas through peer critique and feedback

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager in a high growth technology company, building products that touch millions of consumers. Ideally 8+ years of work experience, and 2+ years in a growth-and-onboarding focused role
  • Demonstrates exceptional critical thinking and first-principles reasoning, breaking down complex, ambiguous problems into clear problem statements, identifying underlying assumptions, and forming sharp, testable hypotheses that drive action.
  • Develops a deep, nuanced understanding of users by synthesizing qualitative research, quantitative data, and behavioral psychology, grounding product decisions in how users actually think, feel, and behave—not just what they say.
  • Brings strong analytical judgment, defining the right success metrics, identifying the right questions to ask of data, and using evidence to make high-quality decisions under uncertainty.
  • Exhibits strong product and design taste, acting as a thoughtful, opinionated partner to design with solid UX and UI instincts and a high bar for clarity, usability, and coherence across the product experience.
  • Communicates clearly and persuasively, articulating complex ideas with precision, engaging in rigorous debate with senior leaders, and influencing outcomes across the organization.
  • Works effectively across functions, partnering closely with engineering, design, analytics, marketing, and compliance to drive alignment and execution.
  • Exhibits extreme ownership, operating with a high degree of autonomy, proactively identifying opportunities and risks, and taking accountability for outcomes end-to-end.
  • Operates with a relentless bias toward impact, setting ambitious goals, prioritizing what matters most, navigating obstacles effectively, and consistently delivering meaningful outcomes.
  • Identifies and pursues bold, high-impact opportunities while also driving smaller, more reliable improvements, balancing long-term bets with near-term wins to build a resilient, high-performing product portfolio.
