Job Description

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist Manager to join our Warrendale, PA fulfillment operation. This leadership role is responsible for the day-to-day management of pharmacy operations, including prescription fulfillment and dispensing, Warehouse and Inventory teams. The Staff Pharmacist Manager ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, service quality, and team development within a fast-paced specialty pharmacy environment.

The shift for this position is 9 am - 6 pm ET Monday through Friday with the need to flex schedule to support business needs or respond to rare on-call patient needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage daily pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing, specialty medication fulfillment, ancillary supplies, warehouse, and inventory teams.

  • Plan, direct, and monitor daily workflow, staffing schedules, and production volume to ensure service standards and performance expectations are met.

  • Develop, track, and monitor team compliance with quality, service, productivity, and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor prescription turnaround times to ensure internal standards and client performance guarantees are consistently achieved.

  • Lead, coach, and develop Pharmacists, Technicians, Warehouse Associates and Inventory Representatives through hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and ongoing development.

  • Address employee relations matters and support a positive, engaged, and accountable team culture.

  • Identify recurring operational issues impacting key metrics and implement or recommend corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex operational, system, customer service, quality, and professional issues requiring higher-level judgment.

  • Partner with Senior Pharmacy Leadership to monitor operational costs and support compliance with cost-to-fill and productivity goals.

  • Represent pharmacy operations in cross-functional meetings, projects, and initiatives.

  • Work in production as needed to support operational demands.

  • Ensure adherence to corporate attendance, employment, and compliance policies.

  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Pharmacist License in good standing in the state in which the facility is located

  • 3- years experience leading or supervising pharmacy staff in a high-volume or operational setting preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage workflow, productivity, and performance metrics.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in specialty pharmacy, fulfillment operations, warehouse, or inventory management.

  • Previous people leadership experience.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

Work Environment

  • Pharmacy fulfillment center environment

  • Ability to work flexible hours as operational needs require

  • Will be required to work in production areas as needed
