Staff Engineer - Validation

Seeking a technically strong and proactive Post-Silicon System Validation / Functional Validation engineer to drive the planning, execution, and debug of system-level validation of IP and SoC/MCU designs. This role is critical in verifying functional correctness, feature compliance, performance, and robustness of silicon devices across use cases, voltage/temperature corners, and real application conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform first silicon bring-up and hardware validation
  • Develop validation plans based on product requirements
  • Identify, debug, and root-cause silicon issues
  • Drive issue resolution with design teams
  • Execute protocol compliance testing
  • Perform corner case and stress testing
  • Develop automated validation scripts
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering,  Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in ARM/X86 CPU post-silicon validation or silicon debug
  • Deep understanding of ARM micro-architecture
  • Strong hands-on experience with silicon bring-up and low-level debug
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and x86 assembly
  • Experience with JTAG, trace, scan chains, and silicon debug tools
  • Hands‑on use of Logic analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Protocol analyzers / bus sniffers.
  • Ability to Read board schematics, Perform pin‑level signal tracing.
  • Experience validating Power‑on sequencing, reset behavior, Clocking, Strap / fuse configuration
  • Proven technical leadership and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • JTAG‑based bring‑up and debug
  • Hands‑on experience validating actual silicon (SoC / MCU / ASIC)
    • Boot rom, boot loaders
    • UART, I2C, SPI, FLASH, DDR, SRAM, CAN/CAN FD, LIN, ETHERNET, FLEXRAY, PLL, Clocks, ADC etc.
    • Secure IP validation
