TEAM OVERVIEW
KKR’s Enterprise Technology – Platform Engineering team is responsible for designing, building, and operating secure, scalable, and resilient technology platforms that power the firm’s global investment, portfolio monitoring, analytics, finance, and corporate systems. The team enables business growth by delivering cloud-native infrastructure, automation frameworks, and developer platforms that support mission-critical applications and sensitive financial data.
The Platform Engineering team partners closely with Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, Investment Technology, Finance Systems, and Risk & Compliance teams to ensure platform stability, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The team drives enterprise-wide modernization initiatives including cloud transformation, DevOps enablement, infrastructure automation, and reliability engineering while maintaining the highest standards of security, governance, and performance expected in a global private equity firm.
POSITION SUMMARY
The role is responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade cloud and hybrid platforms that support KKR’s global operations. This includes building scalable infrastructure, enabling secure CI/CD pipelines, improving system reliability, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal security standards.
The role requires strong technical leadership, a proactive approach to risk mitigation, and the ability to manage complex infrastructure environments supporting high-performance financial and data workloads. The individual will foster a culture of automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across platform services. The role requires being highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing competing initiatives in a fast-paced investment environment.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Excellence – Platform Engineering
• Design, build, and manage secure, scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Implement Infrastructure as Code to standardize and automate provisioning
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization of critical systems
• Maintain strong internal controls and data confidentiality standards
DevOps & Automation
• Develop and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and deployment frameworks
• Drive automation and enable self-service infrastructure capabilities
• Promote DevSecOps best practices across the software development lifecycle
Security & Compliance
• Implement IAM, encryption, and secure configuration management
• Partner with Cybersecurity and Risk teams to ensure regulatory compliance
• Support audit readiness and remediation efforts
Reliability & Monitoring
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Lead incident management and root cause analysis
• Improve system resilience and reduce operational risk
Stakeholder Management & Governance
• Collaborate with global technology and business teams to deliver platform solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams
• Maintain platform documentation, reporting dashboards, and governance standards
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience required
• 14–17 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering
• Experience in Financial Services, Private Equity, Asset Management, or highly regulated industries preferred
• Strong experience designing and managing cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization technologies
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, security architecture, and zero-trust principles
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability frameworks
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to financial institutions
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
