Delivery Networks & Technologies team builds and operates the mapping and geospatial intelligence that powers Amazon's global delivery network. Our vision is to provide the best solutions for Amazon Delivery Networks with a focus on safe, efficient, and frictionless delivery experiences. We build solutions that support drivers globally, leveraging innovative technologies including machine learning, computer vision, and large language models to enrich our in-house solutions with high-quality geospatial data. To achieve this objective, we manage a portfolio of vendors who supply critical geospatial data across markets worldwide.

We are looking for a strategic and analytically driven Sr Vendor Manager to join our team. In this role, you will own end-to-end vendor relationships, and drive commercial and operational outcomes that keep our geospatial data performing at the highest standard.

You will manage a portfolio of complex, strategic vendor relationships, leading negotiations, setting performance expectations, and working cross-functionally with Product, Technology, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure we source the right data at the right cost. This is a high-visibility role that requires strong commercial judgment, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end vendor relationships and performance across a portfolio of geospatial data vendors, serving as the primary point of contact and Amazon's ambassador to those vendors
- Lead complex contract negotiations, setting KPIs, SLAs, and commercial terms that align with organizational requirements and deliver measurable value
- Conduct rigorous market analysis and benchmarking to inform negotiation strategy and ensure Amazon is securing competitive terms
- Develop and implement vendor performance improvement plans, working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
- Partner with stakeholder teams to understand data requirements, validate acceptance criteria, and ensure vendor deliverables meet quality and coverage standards
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of the geospatial data industry — including vendor landscape, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies — to inform sourcing strategy and identify new opportunities
- Report on vendor performance and commercial outcomes in regular forums with senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Identify and drive opportunities to standardize, simplify, and improve vendor management processes across the team

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- MBA

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
