As part of a dynamic global Cloud Engineering team, you will take a hands-on role in designing and developing business intelligence solutions on the Cloud Data Platform. The ideal candidate will contribute to data architecture, implement scalable data pipelines, and build advanced analytics and reporting capabilities to enable data-driven insights within Calix Cloud.

Job Description:

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and Development: Take ownership of BI solution design and development, ensuring stability, scalability, and security across the Calix Cloud Data Platform.

• Looker Integration: Implement and optimize Looker integrations, including embedded dashboards and custom visualizations to deliver rich, interactive analytics experiences.

• Data Visualization: Build intuitive dashboards and reports that effectively communicate insights to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Collaboration: Work closely with product owners and cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, provide feedback, and deliver complete BI solutions aligned with business goals.

• Architecture & Frameworks: Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of efficient, cost-effective frameworks and tools for BI and data orchestration.

• Performance Optimization: Drive continuous improvement and scalability of BI components using automation and metrics-driven approaches.

• SDLC Participation: Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle requirements analysis, design documentation, peer reviews, QA support, and production readiness.

• Best Practices: Apply modern DevSecOps and Agile methodologies with a test-first mindset to ensure quality and security.

• Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve technical issues and customer escalations related to BI solutions.

• Roadmap Contribution: Collaborate with leadership to translate BI opportunities into actionable plans and deliver new capabilities on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or relevant industry standard experience to match.

• 5-10+ years of highly technical, hands-on software engineering experience and cloud based BI & Analytics development

• Experience in Java script and dashboards development using visualization tools - D3.js, charts.js, high chart libraries.

• Experience with Automation frameworks, preferably in Python/Java, GIT & CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in LookML development, Looker integration, and authentication workflows.

• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and experience in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.

• Strong background in transactional databases and good understanding and experience with no-SQL datastores.

• Strong Analytics background with expertise in BI tool (Sisense, Looker, ThoughtSpot, Qlik).

• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP services and cloud-native architectures.

• Strong, creative problem-solving skills and ability to abstract and share details to create meaningful articulation.

• India (Flexible hybrid work model - work from Bangalore office for 20 days in a quarter)
