SR Software Engineer (Mainframe & AWS) - Indaiatuba/SP

Engage as a technical consultant on mainframe and database technology solutions, supporting complex and mission-critical business requirements in a hybrid environment; Design, develop, deploy, and maintain DB2 for z/OS and enterprise database solutions, ensuring performance, availability, security, and compliance, Partner with application delivery, infrastructure, security, governance, and compliance teams to support mainframe-based and hybrid environments, aligned with JDF's architecture strategy Maintain strong collaboration with application teams to evolve database and mainframe capabilities, including modernization and integration initiatives with cloud platforms, Ensure reusability, efficiency, and stability in the design, build, and support of mainframe and database infrastructure; Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization for DB2 and enterprise database environments; Apply and evolve best practices, standards, and controls for mainframe, database, and hybrid platforms; Support monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and prevention of issues in DB2, mainframe, and supporting infrastructure; Evaluate new tools, technologies, and practices related to database management, mainframe modernization, and hybrid architectures (including AWS). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis and Development, or related fields; Advanced English: broad vocabulary, good grammar, conducts meetings, argues, negotiates, and delivers training sessions; Strong experience analyzing and translating business requirements into database and mainframe technical solutions; Solid experience with DB2 (preferably DB2 for z/OS), including administration, performance tuning, and SQL optimization; Strong mastery of SQL tuning and performance optimization; Experience working in mission-critical, high-availability environments; Understanding of application development environments, data management, and infrastructure constraints in enterprise systems; Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy; Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor teams; Experience with AWS (compute, security, storage, etc.) and hybrid cloud integration is important; Availability to work in a hybrid model, 2 times a week, in Indaiatuba/SP. Experience with mainframe modernization initiatives, integrations, or coexistence with cloud platforms; Experience with database migrations involving legacy or enterprise platforms;
