The Job:
As Senior Manager, Market Intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Tools and Outdoor business for the U.S., Europe, and regions across the globe. You will:
- Lead and Continuously Evolve Market Intelligence Capabilities: Develop and enhance our market intelligence function, ensuring we stay ahead of trends and competitors, with an emphasis on continuous improvement
- Drive Strategic Insights: Provide regular, actionable input into group strategy and key priorities, connecting the dots across complex data sets and business challenges.
- Translate Data into Impact: Transform technical and market data into clear, compelling insights and recommendations for senior leadership and business partners.
- Storytelling & Influence: Craft and deliver engaging presentations and data visualizations that tell the story behind the numbers, influencing decision-makers at all levels.
- Stakeholder & Project Management: Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners. Manage multiple projects simultaneously with speed, purpose, and attention to detail.
- Foster Partnerships: Collaborate with multifunctional teams (category management, brand insights, commercial insights, etc.) to ensure market intelligence is embedded in business decisions.
- Champion Innovation: Advocate for continuous improvement and investment in market intelligence tools, methods, and partnerships.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with data and analytic suppliers, evaluating and integrating innovative solutions.
The Person:

- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Business Analytics, Market Intelligence, Strategic Insights, or Strategy.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex data from multiple sources (e.g., Numerator, Yipit, NPD, Euromonitor) and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Exceptional communication skills: Able to translate technical language into plain speak and present complex information in a simple, visual, and compelling manner.
- Strong storytelling and influencing abilities: Comfortable presenting to executive committees and senior leadership, building consensus, and driving action.
- Project management expertise: Skilled at managing multiple projects with speed, agility, and a focus on results.
- Stakeholder management: Trusted partner to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Proactive & self-driven: internally motivated while comfortable working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Mentorship: Ability to develop and inspire direct reports for future growth.
- Big-picture mindset: Sees connections across data, trends, and business objectives.

The base pay range for this position in California, Colorado, Washington, New York, Massachusetts, and Maryland is $95,600 - $153,800 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
