Tim Hortons is expanding and modernizing across both the Canada and U.S., with a strong pipeline of new builds and renovations. As Senior Manager, CapEX you will lead sourcing, supplier management, and category strategy for capital project needs—including development, fabrication, construction, services, and furniture—across North America. 

 

This role ensures that Tim Hortons has the right partners and supply base to deliver projects consistently on time, on budget, and to brand standards. You will bring procurement expertise to one of the most strategic areas of our business, balancing cost efficiency, speed, and quality while supporting growth across a diverse, franchise network. 

The position liaises with Development, Design, Marketing, Operations and Finance functions to support Tim Hortons system for North America. The Procurement Manager will actively prioritize and manage the following key activities and responsibilities. 

RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Successful candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week.

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Category Strategy & Planning: Develop & execute procurement strategy for assigned categories including sourcing and contingencies across U.S. and Canadian markets 

  • Market Research: Researches, analyzes, and interprets financial information and market trends (materials, labor, logistics) in both countries, leveraging insights to inform sourcing and contracting decisions. 

  • RFPs & Negotiations: Creates and manages RFPs, negotiate pricing, and execute business tenders, including terms, service levels, and warranties, to ensure alignment with business requirements supporting new store development and major renovation programs, 

  • Contract Management:  Negotiates long-term agreements and framework contracts that secure supply, mitigate risks, and deliver savings 

  • Financial Modeling: Develops financial models to analyze deals and offers to determine viability and profitability 

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Manages key vendor relationships including measuring supplier performance, through scorecards, KPI’s and quarterly reviews, identifying performance improvement initiatives and supports corrective actions as required.  

  • Cost Optimization: Drives purchase cost savings initiatives which consistently improve restaurant profitability while maintaining brand standards and project quality 

  • Risk Management: Supports Lead in assessing business risks associated with the procurement of goods or services in assigned category and ensures transparency of risk to the Head of the department 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participates in regular cross-functional category team meetings as the strategic sourcing lead on Indirect procurement to make sourcing recommendations and highlight supply risks; Acts as point of contact with select vendors to resolve issues impacting restaurant owners. 

  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Supply Chain or Engineering preferred 

  • MBA with Supply Chain or Finance specialization or CPA/CFA designation preferred  

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Procurement or strategic sourcing, with at least 3 years in construction, development, or capital project procurement preferred 

  • Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills as well as leadership capabilities 

  • Develops financial models to analyze deals and offers to determine viability and profitability 

  • Strong analytical skills (researching, analyzing and interpreting data) 

  • Exceptional organizational abilities, time management and interpersonal skills 

  • Familiarity with U.S. and Canadian construction ecosystems (general contractors, trades, fabricators, FF&E) preferred 

  • Multi-unit, franchise, or large-scale retail/QSR/hospitality environments experience in North American preferred 

  • Advanced level in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) 

  • SAP and Coupa experience are an asset. 

Salary:

Base salary range of $120,000.00 – $150,000.00. Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills.

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity grants pursuant to the Company’s long-term incentive plan.
