We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Brand Strategy to architect and steward a brand that is emotionally resonant, commercially powerful, and culturally relevant at global scale. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of brand building, creativity, technology innovation, and business performance. You will define the strategic foundation of the PayPal brand, from our core value proposition and distinctive brand assets to the emotional architecture that underpins how customers experience us across every touchpoint. You will translate customer insights and cultural signals into a brand platform that creates lasting memory structures, drives reappraisal, and converts brand equity into measurable business growth.Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and articulate clear objectives and brand marketing initiatives to deliver results and meet organizational goals
- Influence decision-making at the senior leadership level
- Perform the most highly complex campaigns using brand strategy knowledge and performance analysis expertise
- Develop and deliver innovative strategies that promotes PayPal's brand values, products and services to target audiences
- Lead major business projects that fosters PayPal's brand loyalty and presence in the market
- Design, evaluate, and select process, product, and service improvements based on thorough understanding of business needs and industry trends
- Lead others to solve issues related to diverse marketing objectives
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:
Experience at a global consumer technology brand, ideally at a company navigating a brand transformation or reappraisal journey.
A portfolio or body of work demonstrating world-class brand strategy that has shifted brand perception, driven earned media, or redefined a category.
Experience building quantitative brand measurement frameworks that connect brand investment to business performance.
Global brand experience, including strategic leadership across multiple regions and cultures.
Deep understanding of behavioral science, neuro-marketing, and how emotional and cognitive principles apply to brand building in financial services and commerce.
Experience managing and evolving a global agency roster with consistently excellent output.
Additional Responsibilities
Lead segmentation, competitive brand analysis, and market landscape work to continuously sharpen PayPal's positioning and identify white-space opportunities.
Serve as the voice of the customer, translating insights from research, partners, and frontline teams into actionable brand recommendations for senior leadership.
Guide the integration of behavioral science principles into brand strategy, leveraging the latest research to stimulate emotive memory structures and improve selection.
Inspire creative excellence across internal and partner teams, raising the bar for creativity as a business driver for PayPal
Develop differentiated brand narratives and messaging frameworks for key audiences, from consumers to enterprise merchants to strategic partners.
Support regional teams in adapting global brand strategy to local markets, ensuring cultural relevance without diluting brand coherence.
Establish clear brand operating mechanisms across Marketing, Product, Commercial and agency partners, defining how briefs are written, how work is reviewed, and how standards are maintained.
