Where is the work:

What will you do:
As a Senior Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service, maintenance, commissioning, and technical support for chiller systems in mission‑critical data center environments. You will:
• Perform service, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions on Air-Cooled and Water-Cooled Chillers, including screw, scroll, and centrifugal systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control‑related issues in chiller and HVAC systems.
• Conduct chiller start‑up, commissioning, performance testing, and system optimization.
• Lead site execution for data center cooling projects, including planning, installation oversight, and coordination with contractors and OEM teams.
• Support upgrades, retrofits, and energy‑efficiency improvements in existing cooling infrastructure.
• Review technical drawings, submittals, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and project documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain detailed service reports, performance logs, and documentation for all serviced equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer data center protocols.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Interface with customers to provide updates, clarify technical issues, and ensure timely execution of service tasks.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis activities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with internal teams—including sales, project management, and engineering—to ensure seamless project and service delivery.
• Ensure timely submission of RCA and 8D reports to customers.
• Attend Monthly MOR and Quarterly QBR review meetings with data center customers.
What you will bring: (Skills & Competencies):
• Deep technical expertise in Air-Cooled and Water-Cooled Chillers, preferably within mission‑critical data center environments.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, HVAC controls, BMS/EMS integration, and cooling redundancy concepts.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues using advanced tools and diagnostic software.
• Experience in project execution, installation supervision, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work confidently in critical environments.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and best practices.
• Strong problem‑solving capability and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with mission‑critical data centers or large industrial cooling systems.
• OEM‑specific training or certifications (Trane, Carrier, Daikin) preferred.
• Knowledge of energy‑efficiency programs, retrofits, and system optimization.
• Project management experience or certification is an added advantage.
Qualification:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5–10 years of direct experience servicing chillers, preferably in data centers.
• Strong analytical abilities and a structured approach to problem solving and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Willingness to travel as per project and service requirements.
