Position: Sr Developer (Application Support and Development Engineer - COBOL HP NONSTOP ,TANDEM)

Job Description:

Hiring developers to support the customers SOLD application, an in-house system with over 40 years of history that underpins both dealing and accounting functions. Our services will focus on sustaining, enhancing, and modernizing the application while ensuring stability across both intra-day and overnight processes.

Application Maintenance & Support

Bug Fixing & Issue Resolution – Timely identification, triage, and resolution of issues in SCOBOL, COBOL85, and Pathway-based programs.
Batch Job Monitoring & Support – Ensure smooth execution of batch-based processes that run intra-day and overnight.
Incident Management – Proactive and reactive support for application incidents, minimizing downtime and business disruption.

Development & Enhancements

Feature Enhancements – Extend and enhance existing functionality in SCOBOL, COBOL85, and related modules.
Integration Support – Enable and optimize application interfacing with MQ and CONNECT:DIRECT.
Database Development – Manage and optimize ENSCRIBE databases and ENFORM reports to support business reporting and transaction needs.

System & Utilities Expertise

Transaction Management – Utilize TMF for transaction integrity and recovery.
HPE Nonstop Utilities – Provide expertise in FUP, TEDIT, PERUSE, and other operational tools for system administration and troubleshooting.
Pathway Administration – Support and optimize Pathway applications, ensuring high performance and availability.

Knowledge Transfer & Best Practices

Documentation – Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for all changes, enhancements, and fixes.
Knowledge Sharing – Collaborate with internal teams to ensure continuity of expertise.
Best Practice Adoption – Promote efficient coding standards, structured testing, and secure deployment practices.
