Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides companies of all sizes with an infrastructure web services platform in the cloud (“cloud computing”). At AWS Professional Services (ProServe), we are building a professional services team to work on customer engagements around the world, and to help our partners develop technical expertise and capacity supporting these customers.

AWS ProServe is seeking a Business Operations Manager, fluent in Japanese and English, to work with the AWS ProServe Japan Leadership to continuously evolve delivery health, analyze historic results, and make business recommendations to senior management based on those analyses – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. This will include working with senior leadership to develop, implement and manage the business processes, systems, reports and strategies that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives. This role balances strategic and operational activities, and will act as a trusted advisor to APJC Japan Professional Services Leadership.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business operations processes and develop scalable solutions for Professional Services Sales and Delivery teams, including process optimization and automation initiatives
- Independently manage high-impact projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify issues, set priorities, and drive execution excellence
- Drive revenue forecasting accuracy, manage strategies to accelerate backlog-to-revenue conversion, and partner with business teams to optimize pipeline and resource planning
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities, creating actionable insights and maintaining performance dashboards for business improvement
- Serve as trusted advisor to Practice leaders, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and effectively communicating project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership teams
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), providing data-driven recommendations for business growth and efficiency while driving strategic initiatives focused on operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese at a business level or above (N1+)
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
- 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
- Experience working in a Technology-focused Professional Services organization
