Job Profile Summary
As a Senior Analyst – Market Research & Clinical Intelligence, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic market assessments across healthcare and life sciences, with a strong emphasis on clinical data analysis, pharmaceutical pipelines, and end-to-end healthcare value chains where Cencora operates. You will independently lead research workstreams, integrate complex clinical and commercial datasets, and translate insights into executive-ready narratives. The role requires deep subject matter expertise in clinical trials, product pipelines, and market access dynamics, combined with strong data analytics (Excel, SQL) and presentation skills.
You will mentor junior analysts, partner closely with Managers and senior stakeholders, and directly contribute to high-impact deliverables such as therapy landscapes, pipeline assessments, opportunity sizing, and strategic briefs used for enterprise strategy, M&A, and growth initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical & Market Intelligence
Lead clinical data analysis across trial registries, pipeline databases, and proprietary datasets, with a clear understanding of trial design, phases, endpoints, and regulatory pathways (US/EU/Global).
Develop product and pipeline landscapes by therapy area, indication, modality, and development stage, linking clinical progress to commercial potential.
Apply value chain thinking across pharma, specialty distribution, provider, payer, and services ecosystems relevant to Cencora’s businesses.
Track and analyze competitive activity including pipeline progression, approvals, launches, licensing deals, partnerships, and M&A.
Secondary & Primary Research
Conduct rigorous secondary research using industry databases, public registries, company filings, investor materials, and scientific publications.
Design and execute primary research including:
Expert discussion guide development
Survey and questionnaire design
Moderation of KOL / expert interviews
Synthesis of qualitative insights into decision-oriented findings
Triangulate primary insights with secondary data to validate assumptions and sharpen recommendations.
Data Analytics & Modeling
Build and maintain Excel-based analytical models including market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM), segmentation, adoption curves, and scenario-based forecasts.
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, join, and validate large datasets across clinical, commercial, and market intelligence sources.
Ensure data quality, documentation, and reproducibility of analytical outputs.
Deliverables & Stakeholder Support
Develop high-quality PowerPoint presentations and executive summaries that distill complex analyses into clear, structured insights.
Own end-to-end delivery of assigned modules, including storyline development, visual framing, and implications.
Partner with Managers to shape hypotheses, manage risks, and ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
Team & Capability Building
Mentor and review work of junior analysts, providing guidance on research approach, analytics, and storytelling.
Contribute to best practices, templates, and knowledge repositories for clinical intelligence, pipeline analysis, and market research.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Requirements
Experience
4–7 years of experience in market research, strategic consulting, competitive intelligence, or analytics, with a strong focus on healthcare or life sciences.
Demonstrated experience in clinical trial analysis, drug pipelines, and therapy area assessments.
Prior exposure to Cencora-relevant domains such as pharmaceutical services, pharma distribution, or healthcare data services is strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of secondary research rigor, data triangulation, and source validation.
Analytics & Tools
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivots, scenario modeling, structured outputs).
Strong SQL proficiency for querying and integrating multi-table datasets.
Comfort working with large, imperfect datasets and translating them into structured insights.
Communication & Presentation
Excellent PowerPoint and executive storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize large volumes of information into crisp, decision-ready insights.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort engaging with senior stakeholders and external experts.
Personal Attributes
High attention to detail, strong problem-solving mindset, and intellectual curiosity.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated mentorship or coaching experience.
Learning agility and willingness to develop deeper subject matter expertise across therapies and healthcare value chains.

EXPERIENCE AND MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-6 years of experience in strategic market research or consulting with a focus on healthcare or life sciences.
- Proven ability to lead and structure research workstreams with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in Excel-based modeling.
- Excellent PowerPoint skills and the ability to synthesize large volumes of data into crisp insights.
- Strong grasp of forecasting methodologies and data triangulation.
- Exposure to stakeholder engagement or front-facing work preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical pipeline tracking, epidemiology databases, and commercial intelligence tools (e.g., IQVIA, GlobalData, Evaluate) is desirable.
- Demonstrated team mentorship or coaching experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, learning agility, and ability to multitask.
