Specialist in Correspondent Banking Transaction Monitoring

We are looking for a diligent and analytical professional to join our Financial Risk Control & Prevention (FRCP) department as an Specialist within Correspondent Banking Transaction Monitoring. In this role, you will support the monitoring and investigation of correspondent banking activity, helping to identify potential money laundering, sanctions, and other financial crime risks linked to cross‑border transactions and respondent institutions.

The workplace is located in Vilnius. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3 days in the office).

You will:

  • Assist in monitoring correspondent banking transactions, including cross‑border payments and flows involving respondent banks, to identify suspicious activity and elevated AML or sanctions risks
  • Support the investigation of alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems, with a focus on correspondent banking typologies and risk indicators
  • Analyse transaction patterns, payment messages, and customer/respondent bank information to assess potential financial crime exposure
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of correspondent banking transaction monitoring processes and controls
  • Document investigations, analysis, and decisions clearly and in line with internal procedures and regulatory expectations
  • Stay informed on relevant AML, sanctions, and correspondent banking regulatory developments and typologies

 

About You:

  • Experience in AML, transaction monitoring, correspondent banking, payments, or other operational compliance roles is preferred
  • Strong interest in correspondent banking, cross‑border payments, financial crime prevention, and regulatory compliance
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify unusual transaction behaviour and assess risk across complex payment flows
  • High attention to detail and comfort working with structured investigations and large volumes of transactional data
  • Proactive, motivated, and able to adapt in a continuously evolving regulatory environment
  • Upper‑intermediate English skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of AML frameworks, sanctions regimes, and correspondent banking risk management is considered an advantage

Monthly salary ranges from 1680 EUR to 2520 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).

Your title in job contract will be Officer - Service Delivery Specialist. From 1 April 2026 it will be renamed to Anti-Money Laundering under our new job architecture, with no impact on the role or responsibilities.
