Special Inspector Field Engineer

FTC has immediate opportunities for experienced Special Inspectors and Field Engineers to be part of our team.

Complete assigned inspection as scheduled by dispatch
Perform scheduled inspection during the time assigned – inspect, review and submit reports according to NYS DOB code and approved drawings
Usual schedule is 7am-3:30pm
Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

NYS PE, Civil or Mechanical Engineering Degree with field experience
Ideal candidates must hold certifications from ICC, AWS, NICET and/or ACI including:
ICC Commercial or Residential Certification required.
Technical, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s Degree pertaining to the Engineering field (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, etc.) a plus.
Candidates must be familiar with the New York City Building Code
Ability to read prints and find inspection locations
Ability to produce inspection reports according to company standards
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Reliable means of transportation necessary.
Extensive knowledge of industry standards
Must be punctual, reliable with good attention to detail
Ability to work various shifts
Ability to travel numerous job sites daily
Highly motivated team player with a strong work ethic
Able to communicate effectively with a variety of project managers
Prepare and electronically submit daily reports
Organized and efficient
Authorized to work in the U.S with a valid driver license
