Solutions Engineer

As a Solutions Engineer at Pax8, you’ll sit at the intersection of technical expertise and partner success—bringing cloud solutions to life through compelling demos, confident solution design, and hands-on enablement. You’ll work alongside our sales teams to win new business, support partners through deployment, and help shape repeatable technical experiences that scale. And as Pax8 accelerates our AI journey, you’ll grow with the technology—using smarter tools, richer insights, and automation to deliver even more value to partners.

You will be working on Remote (for those who are outside of Brisbane), or Hybrid (if based in Brisbane).

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be trusted to lead technical moments that matter—before and after the sale—creating confidence for our partners and momentum for our sales teams:

  • Deliver engaging cloud solution demonstrations that connect technical outcomes to commercial value

  • Guide partners through solution design, architecture choices, and initial configuration for varied environments

  • Support proof-of-concept deployments and help partners validate solutions in real-world scenarios

  • Respond to partner technical questions and requests for information with clarity, speed, and credibility

  • Partner closely with our sales teams as a product-set specialist—helping shape the right solution for each opportunity

  • Create practical enablement assets (guides, walkthroughs, and short videos) that make partners more self-sufficient

  • Troubleshoot deployments in unfamiliar ecosystems—bringing calm structure to messy, real-world situations

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and curiosity is rewarded

The impact you’ll have

You’ll help partners sell and deploy with confidence—reducing friction in the buying journey, improving technical win rates, and elevating the partner experience. Your work will directly support revenue growth, partner retention, and our mission to help MSPs become even more strategic advisors to their customers.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who blends technical depth with strong people skills—someone who can simplify complexity, build trust quickly, and keep moving forward when the path isn’t perfectly mapped:

  • Minimum 2 years technical and/or pre-sales experience

  • Proven ability to present and demo effectively—tailoring the story to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Considerable skill translating complex concepts into clear, practical next steps

  • Strong troubleshooting instincts and comfort working in varied customer environments

  • A partner-first mindset with genuine passion for service, follow-through, and relationship building

  • Confidence collaborating with sales teams and contributing to deal strategy as a subject matter expert

  • A learning mindset—excited by new platforms, evolving cloud ecosystems, and AI-enabled ways of working

  • Required: Certification in at least one of the following: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900), Microsoft 365 Identity and Services (MS-100), Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security (MS-101), Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+
