Solutions Architect
You don't just explain the technology you shape how customers build with it. If you want a role where your technical instincts and engineering prowess directly influence product direction and customer outcomes, keep reading.
The Company
Sendbird is on a mission to build the AI workforce of tomorrow. For over a decade, we built the infrastructure behind conversations chat, voice, video, messaging APIs and became the #1 CPaaS platform for in-app communications. 4,000+ brands trust us. 7 billion messages flow through our platform every month. 300 million monthly active users.
We powered conversations for DoorDash, Match Group, Noom, Yahoo Sports, Rakuten, and thousands of others. We were good at what we did. Really good.
We also saw it early: AI would fundamentally reshape how businesses talk to customers. The infrastructure we'd spent a decade building would become commoditized. The value would move up the stack into intelligence, into experience, into outcomes.
We had a choice: protect what we built, or reinvent ourselves.
We chose reinvention.
In December 2024, we made the full strategic pivot to AI first customer experience. By February 2025, we'd launched our AI agent for enterprise CX built on a decade of conversation data, now with intelligence on top. And in November 2025, we rebranded to Delight.ai.
The name says it all. AI's real promise isn't efficiency or cost savings. It's giving customers back something they lost the feeling of being truly understood and cared for. Not satisfied. Delighted.
The Product
Delight.ai is the AI concierge for customer experience. Most AI agents forget you the moment the conversation ends. Ours doesn't. Delight.ai builds memory over time, learns preferences, and connects context across every channel chat, SMS, email, voice, WhatsApp without losing the thread. We're building AI that makes customers feel understood, seen, and remembered.
Why Solutions Architect
The AI agent space is moving fast, and customers need more than a vendor. They need a technical partner who helps them build the right thing, the right way. The gap between "we integrated it" and "it actually works beautifully" is enormous. That's where you come in.
You'll sit at the intersection of Sales, Customer Success, and Product, translating customer reality into AI driven solutions. You'll use AI agents, agentic coding tools, and custom workflows as primary instruments, not supplements. If you want a role where your work shows up directly in what customers ship, this is it.
The Role
As a Solutions Architect, you own the technical relationship with customers from initial design through launch. You'll consult on architecture, build integrations, and serve as the customer's voice inside Sendbird's product and engineering teams. This role is for someone who moves fluidly between a CTO whiteboard and an engineering team's code editor, and who reaches for AI tools first.
You might be this person if:
- You hear a customer's problem and immediately start designing an AI powered solution.
- You get genuine satisfaction from helping a developer have a breakthrough, not just closing a ticket.
- You proactively surface AI driven best practices before customers need them.
- You follow the AI agent and messaging space because you find it genuinely fascinating.
- You can simplify complex AI concepts for a C-suite, then flip to deep technical mode five minutes later.
- You use AI to ship documentation and tutorials faster and at higher quality.
- You're comfortable owning multi-stakeholder projects without a project manager shadowing you.
- You use agentic tools like Claude Code or OpenAI Codex to build rapidly, and string together APIs and middleware like Make, Zapier, or n8n to eliminate toil.
You need to have
- 5+ years as a full stack engineer or in a solutions/customer engineer role.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, web and mobile technologies, and databases.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex systems across web servers, databases, and mobile devices.
- Solid programming experience in at least one of: JavaScript, Swift, Objective-C, Java, Kotlin, or C#.
- Proven experience with at least one of: iOS, Android, React Native, React, or Angular.
- Demonstrated comfort with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
- Fluency in English (native or equivalent), covering AMER East and EMEA markets.
What you'll actually do
- Architect AI powered solutions: consult on technical and UI design to build scalable Delight.ai implementations using AI agents and agentic workflows.
- Enable customers alongside your CX partners: run demos, workshops, and technical sessions including hands on AI agent integration guidance.
- Build vertical integrations: develop tools and third party integrations using agentic dev tools and middleware to iterate faster than traditional methods.
- Close product feedback loops: surface customer patterns to the Product team using AI-assisted synthesis and collaborate on closing feature gaps.
- Create technical content: write blogs, tutorials, and documentation using AI tools to produce and maintain content at scale.
- Drive project launches: coordinate multi-stakeholder integrations to get Delight.ai live on time, automating status tracking and reporting where possible.
- Become the AI CX domain expert: track trends in AI agents and conversational interfaces and advise customers on implementation best practices.

Flexible Work Policy
We offer a flexible work schedule at Sendbird. We also value collaboration and relationship building. With those values in mind, we require all employees to gather with their team in the office three days per week as a minimum. Some of our roles require a more frequent in-office schedule. Please work with your manager to understand the office time requirements for your position.
What diversity and inclusion mean to us
There is no such thing as a perfect candidate and the best employees come from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets. Sendbird is a place where everyone can learn and grow. We respect, promote, and encourage diversity for equal employment opportunities and encourage you to apply if this role excites you.
Why Sendbird
We're not adding AI features to an existing product. We rebuilt the whole thing around it. This is a company that had something real, saw where the world was going, and made the hard call to reinvent itself and we're executing. If you want to do technically meaningful work at a company that's moving with genuine urgency, this is the right place.
This is a hybrid role based in our central London office (3 days/week). This role reports to the Global Head of Technical Services, based in San Mateo, CA.
