Role Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced software engineer to join our Knowledge and Search engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and scaling our search capabilities supporting the needs of our users and internal systems. 🧒 Reporting line : VP of Engineering πŸ“ Location : Paris (France) or London (UK) What you will do Key Responsibilities  The Knowledge & Search team is the backbone that connects our customers to the information they need. We are looking for an experienced software engineer to lead our indexing and searching capabilities. In this role, you will work closely with our data and infrastructure teams to build, maintain and scale our search platform while ensuring a high-level of performance and reliability. Your responsibilities include (but may not be limited to): β€’ Building, maintaining and enhancing a fast, reliable and scalable indexing and searching capabilities (web and knowledge) β€’ Working with search-oriented databases to optimise and fine-tune full search pipelines from document ingestion to retrieval β€’ Owning our information retrieval systems serving both our internal needs as well as our enterprise customers β€’ Ensuring that our search capabilities meet the increasing demands of our customers β€’ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to push the boundaries of search reliability, performance, and scale across a range and cloud-native and on-premise services. About you β€’ 7+ years of relevant professional work experience β€’ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field β€’ Experience building and scaling distributed search engine systems β€’ Excellent proficiency in backend software development (Python, Go, C++, Rust...) β€’ Solid proficiency in infrastructure management (Docker, CI/CD, Helm, K8s, Terraform...) β€’ Good knowledge of cloud-native ecosystems β€’ Autonomous and self-starter β€’ Ability to communicate with influence Now, it would be ideal if you had experience with: β€’ AI/ML engineering Hiring Process Here is what you should expect: β€’ Introduction call - 30 min β€’ Hiring Manager Interview - 30 min β€’ Live-coding Interview (Python) - 45 min β€’ System Design Interview - 45 min β€’ Optional: Deep Dive Interview (Staff/Lead specific) - 60 min β€’ Culture-fit discussion - 30 min β€’ References
