You will be:
- developing backend services and applications using Kotlin or Java,
- processing large data volumes using Scala and BigQuery,
- designing and maintaining data pipelines using Apache Airflow in the Cloud Composer (GCP) environment,
- working with Google Cloud Platform services to build scalable and reliable data infrastructure,
- preparing and transforming datasets for machine learning processes,
- supporting the development and training of AI/ML models, including experimentation and A/B testing,
- performing exploratory data analysis and creating visualizations to support business insights and decision-making,
- collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven applications and AI-enabled solutions.
Your profile:
- 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering, preferably in backend or data-focused systems,
- strong knowledge of Kotlin or Java for backend development,
- good knowledge of SQL and experience working with large datasets,
- experience building data pipelines or data processing workflows,
- experience working with cloud platforms (preferably GCP),
- practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
- basic experience working with data analysis or machine learning workflows,
- strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams,
- very good command of English (spoken and written),
- openness to occasional on-site team meetings (up to once per quarter) in our Poznań or Warsaw office.
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have:
- experience with Scala, Spark, or other big data processing tools,
- experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools,
- familiarity with ML platforms such as Vertex AI,
- experience with React or data visualization tools,
- experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,
- interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
