What you’ll achieve
As a Software Engineer 2, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

  • Participate in the preparation, review and evaluation of software/storage requirements and specifications

  • Prepare written specifications for tasks of varied complexity from verbal requirements

  • Use defined software lifecycle methodologies

  • Review and implement test strategies for software products

Essential Requirements

  • 2–5 years of related experience

  • High Learnability – Ability to quickly understand new technologies, tools, and concepts in the AI and observability space. Comfortable navigating change, ambiguity, and fast‑evolving requirements

  •  Curiosity & Inquisitiveness – Proactively investigates issues, seeks clarity, and digs deeper than surface‑level symptoms. Demonstrates a natural interest in how AI systems behave, why they behave that way, and how to improve them

  • AI‑Enhanced Observability Development – Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Datadog, Splunk, and New Relic, with a strong desire to build deeper expertise. Shows enthusiasm for applying AI‑driven insights, anomaly detection, pattern recognition, and intelligent alerting to improve system reliability

  • Technical Knowledge – Solid understanding of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; and system, network, operating system, and application administration; including embedded software/firmware, tools, and utilities, as applicable


 

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience

Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Salary Range for this role is $122,400 to $158,400
