We are currently seeking a Software Development Advisor to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain AS400 (IBM i) applications supporting Insurance business processes.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements, and convert them into functional and technical specifications.
Act as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) by bridging business needs and technical implementation.
Develop, test, debug, and optimize programs using RPGLE (Free/Free‑form), CLLE, and DB2/400.
Perform unit testing, and support SIT/UAT activities to ensure solution quality and stability.
Provide L2/L3 production support, including incident management, root cause analysis, defect fixing, and performance tuning.
Conduct impact analysis for enhancements and change requests.
Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, summarizing complex information clearly.
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Use work management and tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent.
Mentor junior team members and promote coding, documentation, and support best practices.
Stay updated on AS400/IBM i best practices, modernization trends, and emerging technologies.

Skills and Experience
Extensive hands‑on experience in AS400 / IBM i development and support.
Strong expertise in RPGLE (Free/Form), CLLE, and DB2/400.
Proven Insurance domain knowledge (e.g., Policy, Claims, Billing, Underwriting).
Solid experience in Business Systems Analysis, including requirement gathering and stakeholder management.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
Demonstrated experience in L2/L3 application support and production issue resolution.
Proficient in problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and impact assessment.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
Experience with ALM / ticketing tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.
Desirable: Prior experience working on Genius and ITP applications.
