Software Configuration Engineer

As a Software Configuration Engineer, you will support software‑based projects across EMEA, working closely with Sales, Project Management, and Engineering teams from pre‑sales through deployment and support. Support Sales teams during pre‑sales by helping define and clarify the technical scope of software solutions such as EPMS, SCADA, DCIM, and Energy Management Systems. Contribute to the preparation of budgetary and binding proposals, including system architecture, topology drawings, hardware BOMs, schedules, and solution descriptions. Support software deployment and testing activities, including on‑site work when required. Work with Project Management and Sales to support scope changes, identify technical risks, and contribute to mitigation actions. Handle escalated Level 3 software support requests within the defined area of responsibility. Deliver technical presentations and support customer meetings, solution promotion, and training activities. Contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation of engineering processes and tools within the System Integration Services team. Participate in ongoing professional development, including safety and technical training. Travel as required for customer meetings, site visits, and project execution. University degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Power Management, Automation, or a related discipline. Several years of hands‑on engineering experience with power management systems, ideally within data centre or critical infrastructure environments. Working knowledge of power distribution systems, including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, and EPMS / DCIM solutions. Experience with power system automation software and energy or infrastructure management systems. Basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, network infrastructure, IEDs, and control logic is an advantage. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with professional working proficiency in English. Structured, solution‑oriented approach to resolving technical issues. Ability to work effectively in international and cross‑functional project teams. Good prioritisation skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. High level of integrity, accountability, and a proactive “can‑do” mindset. Strong safety awareness, with the confidence to stop unsafe activities when required.
