Site Manager - Electrical
Role & responsibilities
Site Execution & Management
- Oversee execution of all electrical works including HT/LT systems, cabling, panels, lighting, and earthing
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and timelines
- Monitor daily site activities and coordinate with contractors and vendors
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with civil, HVAC, and other teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Review electrical drawings and BOQs; highlight discrepancies and suggest improvements
- Plan manpower, materials, and resources to meet project schedules
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all installations meet quality standards, statutory norms, and safety regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards
- Support testing & commissioning activities and ensure proper documentation
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Supervise contractors work and ensure adherence to scope, timelines, and safety
- Validate contractor bills and track progress against milestones
- Resolve on-site issues and ensure minimal disruptions
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily/weekly progress reports and site records
- Track material consumption and ensure timely requisitions
- Update stakeholders on progress, risks, and delays
Safety Management
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and electrical safety practices
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings at site
- Ensure zero major safety incidents on site
Preferred candidate profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 8-10 years of experience in electrical execution for infrastructure, commercial, or institutional projects
- Experience in handling end-to-end electrical site activities
- Strong understanding of HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, and building electrical systems
- Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic project tracking tools
- Experience in vendor/contractor management
- Good problem-solving and coordination skills
