Shop Mechanic III

Overview

The Shop Mechanic III is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing light-duty trucks and related equipment in a shop environment. This role supports safe and efficient operations by ensuring all vehicles are in proper working condition. The position follows a standard Monday–Friday schedule and may be based in Midland or Pecos.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light-duty trucks and equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards
  • Utilize shop tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and repairs completed
  • Operate company-provided vehicles as needed for work-related tasks
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and health (EHS) requirements
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Support general shop operations and assist with additional mechanical tasks as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Experience as a light-duty truck mechanic required
  • ASE certification preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work location
  • Ability to obtain required safety certifications prior to start, including PEC Safeland and H2S training
  • Knowledge of and compliance with safety standards and PPE requirements
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR. and agility and fit for duty.
