 What You Will Do

  • Lead the daily workflow of the shop, ensuring efficient dispatching and proper alignment of work to technician skill level.
  • Provide hands-on diagnostic and technical support on complex or difficult repairs.
  • Monitor repair progress and remove obstacles to keep work moving and on schedule.
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards, safety requirements, and dealership quality expectations.
  • Partner with Service Advisors to support clear communication on repair status, timelines, and additional work.
  • Support technician productivity, efficiency, and overall shop performance.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop technicians to improve skill level, diagnostic ability, and repair quality.
  • Identify and address repeat repairs, comebacks, and quality concerns.
  • Reinforce shop organization, safety standards, and a professional work environment.
  • Act as a working leader—setting the tone for accountability, professionalism, and performance.

What We Are Looking For

  • Advanced automotive diagnostic and repair experience required.
  • Prior leadership experience as a Shop Foreman, Lead Technician, or similar role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dealership service operations and workflow.
  • Proven ability to support and develop technicians through coaching and technical leadership.
  • High level of accountability for repair quality and shop performance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across service, parts, and management teams.
  • Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manufacturer certifications and/or ASE certifications preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Pay: $144,000 - $180,000 / year is the expected total annual earnings after factoring in all forms of compensation including hourly pay, bonuses, overtime, benefits (vacation and sick) etc. The annual rate for this position is $70,800. Bonuses range from $73,200 - $109,200 per year based on performance.
