Brief Description: Assist in shipping operations by staging/loading material scheduled for shipment
Responsibilities:
- Housekeeping
- Safe operation of all area cranes and mobile equipment
- Scrap disposal using cutting torches
- Operation of sample shears, strapping and packaging equipment
- Operation of walking beam conveyors and associated handling equipment
- Support routine maintenance activities, downturn work, and preventative maintenance checks
- Continuous observations and recording of quality data
- Various utility functions assigned by area supervisor
- Strong safety awareness
- Good communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision
- Works well with others and independently
- Quality and detail-oriented
- Mechanically inclined
- Willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime
- Ability to work routinely in a hot environment.
- Repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting, and walking will be required to support routine responsibilities.
