Overview

Requires loading cars, keeping up with inventory, operating mobile equipment, clean up, following the crane, stacking/re-stacking of bundles.  All duties assigned by the supervisor are to be performed in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Placing dunnage on stacks, trucks, or railcars
• Scanning material in and out of inventory
• Visually inspect material for apparent surface defects
• Band bundles and railcars as required
• Operate mobile equipment including truck shifter, forklift and rail shifter
• Load trucks and railcars with finished material, billets and secondary items
• Secure and tarp trailers as required
• Communicate with drivers and other departments
• Work and cover overtime when required
• Stack/ re-stack steel bundles
• Any other Duties assigned by Leadership

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Practical computer skills
• 2- year verifiable work experience in an industrial environment
