Shift Electrician

Brief Description: The electrician is a key maintenance and technical resource to ensure safe, continuous, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of the Jeffersonville galvanizing and paint lines.
Responsibilities:
- Fully participate in the Take Control of Safety initiatives
- Perform electrical maintenance, preventive maintenance, and project work for the galvanizing line and paint line
- Coordinate electrical maintenance activities on the galvanizing line and paint line with engineers, supervisors, millwrights, mill techs, and operators
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment and controls including PLC’s, drive systems, closed loop controls, furnace systems, etc…
- Execute continuous improvement projects with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity
- Perform tasks requested by crew, supervision, and/or management to ensure uninterrupted, reliable, and safe operations
- Previous experience with preventive and predictive maintenance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Effective troubleshooting skills
- Self-directed, well organized, and motivated
- Strong leadership abilities
- Skills and experience preferred to include Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC and drives troubleshooting, familiar with overhead crane operation and maintenance, familiarity and experience with steel processing lines.
