Ventia has an exciting opportunity for a SHEQ Advisor to join their Energy Networks and Renewables business, supporting the Northern Regions team based out of our East Tamaki, Auckland depot.

About the Role - Key Responsibilities

 

You will play a key role in supporting safety and quality across our ENR operations. This includes:

 

  • Leading and supporting incident investigations (ICAM)
  • Supporting risk classification and injury management
  • Conducting site audits and monitoring operational risks
  • Ensuring subcontractor compliance
  • Supporting performance reporting using SHEQ systems
  • Tracking actions and monitoring compliance in VenSafe
  • Supporting audit schedules and training requirements
  • Promoting environmental initiatives across the project
  • Coaching and mentoring operational teams across the Northern regions
  • Travel to a couple of sites each week is expected.

 

About You

 

To be successful, you will bring:

 

  • A relevant Health & Safety qualification
  • Experience supporting operational teams in high‑risk environments
  • ICAM investigation training (essential)
  • Experience with incident investigations, audits, and risk assessments
  • Familiarity with Power BI, VenSafe, or a proven ability to learn new SHEQ tools
  • Strong communication and coaching skills
  • A full Class 1 NZ driver licence and willingness to travel across the Northern regions 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise, and manage time effectively
