Role Overview

We are seeking a ServiceNow ITSM Engineer to provide night-shift Development, operational support and enhancements for the ServiceNow platform. The role focuses on Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management, platform stability, SLAs, minor configurations, and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless service delivery across global time zones.



Key Responsibilities

  • Configuration & Platform Maintenance
    • Configure/update Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Catalog Items, SLAs.
    • Maintain CMDB data quality, discovery exceptions, and reconciliation fixes (as applicable).
    • Support release/patch/upgrade activities and post-upgrade validations.
  • Workflow & Automation
    • Build/maintain Flow Designer flows, approvals, notifications, and catalog workflows.
    • Implement minor enhancements to improve automation and operational efficiency.
  • Integrations & Data
    • Support and troubleshoot REST/SOAP, MID Server, Integration Hub flows and transform maps.
    • Validate data loads, imports, and error handling; coordinate with integration teams.
  • Service Quality & Governance
    • Adhere to best practices, security/ACLs, and change governance.
    • Produce dashboards and Performance Analytics snapshots for operational reporting.
    • Create/maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles for night operations.
  • Collaboration
    • Coordinate handovers with day-shift teams; ensure clean transitions with clear notes.
    • Engage with product owners, developers, and infra/network teams for complex fixes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4-8 years in ServiceNow with strong hands-on in ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, SLAs).
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow configuration & scripting: JavaScript, Glide/GlideRecord, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Catalog.
  • Experience with Flow Designer, email notifications, and approval flows.
  • Working knowledge of integrations (REST/SOAP, MID Server, IntegrationHub) and transform maps.
  • Familiarity with Performance Analytics/dashboards for operational metrics.
  • Understanding of ACLs, roles, and security best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical skills, and ability to operate independently in night shift.


Nice to Have

  • Exposure to CMDB/Discovery, Event Management, and Service Mapping basics.
  • Knowledge of other modules (e.g., CSM, HRSD) helpful but not mandatory.
  • Experience with ATF for regression checks post-release.


Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelors in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience.
  • ServiceNow CSA (mandatory/preferred based on your requirement).
  • ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
