SERVICE TECHNICIAN

POSITION SUMMARY

Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and components both in the branch and off site (customers and other locations.)

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·        Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and components.

·        Diagnose problems, prepare estimates for repairs.

·        Repair and install new systems in the field.

·        Keep work area/truck clean and organized.

·        Maintain proper inventory on service vehicle.

·        Maintain a professional image and relationship with customers.

·        Identify new business opportunities while on customer premises.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS – SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience should demonstrate proficiencies in the following areas:

·        Ability to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcome.

·        Skill to formulate a sound decision using available information.

·        Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a task.

·        Work at customer site in accordance with their work rules.

 

 

Experience:  Three years previous mechanic experience in hydraulics, diesel, or industrial equipment preferred.

 

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent; college or technical school or certifications a plus.
