Purchasing Professional
General Responsibilities
• Leads in the maintenance of updated purchase records
• Responsible for making purchases of urgent materials and/or transportation service for materials or products inside the city or to other locations
• Leads the tracking and recording of functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Responsible for interviews of sales representatives and researches companies to develop new sources of supplies and secure favorable terms for the company
• Leads with crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Possess basic knowledge and understanding of supplier management in the automotive industry.
- Have a good grasp of the new project cycle and its key time nodes.
- Proficient in English, with the ability to report to European and American counterparts and handle raw material price increases.
- Demonstrate clear logical thinking and analytical capabilities.
- Be capable of addressing challenges such as balancing costs, ensuring supplier stability and maintaining product quality.
- Be able to effectively handle daily work challenges, including supplier-related issues and R&D design modifications.
- Be able to consider costs, workflows and relevant requirements from a procurement perspective.
