We are seeking a talented individual to join our Regional FINPRO team. This role will be based in Hong Kong.

Senior, client-facing role accountable for (1) leading Marsh’s FINPRO digital-asset strategy and proposition across Asia and (2) driving commercial growth and portfolio expansion for FINPRO in Hong Kong (excluding financial institutions). Combines subject-matter expertise in digital assets with direct sales ownership for Hong Kong.

Reporting line:                 

Regional Head, FINPRO Asia with dotted reporting line to FINPRO Hong Kong Leader and FINPRO Regional Leaders where appropriate.

We will count on you to:

  • Business development & performance: drive revenue and pipeline for digital assets (regional) and Hong Kong FINPRO (local).
  • Strategy & proposition: define the FINPRO Asia Digital Assets & Crypto sector strategy;  build differentiated insurance/risk-transfer solutions (D&O, PI, cyber, crime, custody, tech E&O); monitor regulatory/market developments and prioritize target segments (exchanges, custodians, asset managers, trading firms, fintech, infrastructure).
  • Hong Kong FINPRO growth: lead portfolio analysis and competitor mapping; develop and execute acquisition and account-expansion plans with the FINPRO Hong Kong Leader and team.  This includes developing own direct sales targets.
  • Collaboration & stakeholder management: partner with FINPRO regional and country teams and general business development teams.  Also work closely with Cyber colleagues and the Marsh Hong Kong sales / growth leader.
  • Global collaboration: build relationships with FINPRO Digital Assets & Crypto specialist in other regions.  Act as a conduit for placement, knowledge sharing, education and the development of joint sales targets.
  • Governance & compliance: ensure activities meet Marsh risk, compliance and local regulatory standards.
  • Support and promote the FINPRO Asia core strategies of Brilliant Basics, Collaboration and Professional & Perfectionists.  Understand, use and adapt the FINPRO Asia value proposition of Analytics, Innovation and Markets (AIM) to your role.
  • Leadership: mentor colleagues and foster an inclusive, positive and one team culture.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional qualification in finance, law, technology, risk, or related field preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry, preferably in client-facing roles.
  • Proven track record in sales and business growth within the insurance or risk management industry, ideally in Hong Kong or North Asia.
  • Strong growth mindset with experience in portfolio development, client acquisition, and strategic targeting.
  • Existing relationships with key accounts and a solid portfolio in the region are highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of various client segments and their risk management needs.
  • Understanding of Casualty and Financial Lines insurance products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a strong advantage.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and market engagements as required.
  • Senior-level experience with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams without direct line management responsibility.
