As a member of the ASX test team, you will work closely with developers, support analysts and business analysts in reviewing and clarifying requirements, test planning and execution, managing defects, reporting on progress and escalating issues to the Test Manager


Your responsibilities:

  • You will have expert automation knowledge in Java and either knowledge of or ability to pick up Python frameworks.

  • Study existing automation frameworks and current execution and CI processes in detail.

  • Own tasks to set up new framework and set it up in CI pipelines.

  • Identification of areas within current frameworks and working on those to improve existing frameworks.

  • Execution of automation frameworks

  • Planning and development of test cases for Trading Platform.

  • Document results and report defects.

  • Work closely with BAs, Developers, Support Analysts and Business Stakeholders to ensure understanding of the requirements and to communicate test status and issues.

  • Document test results for sign off so releases can get promoted to production.

  • Being an active member of the QE&T Community of Practice (CoP).

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Work both independently and as part of a team

  • Easy to get along and establish rapport with team members quickly

  • Effective problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and quality

  • Ability to work in fast-paced project environments with a sharp focus on success criteria

Your experience and qualifications
Must have:

  • Have at least 7-9 years of automation experience and thorough API testing experience with different protocols.

  • Have very good knowledge of programming and thorough basic knowledge on Core Java and Python.

  • Have a good working knowledge of Cucumber and Gherkin

  • language.

  • Expert level understanding of object-oriented programming.

  • In-depth testing and automation experience in a structured

  • environment.

  • Experience in system, system integration, regression, end-to-end, & parallel testing.

  • Experience with any of the CI tools – working with as well as setting up pipelines.

  • Experience in test environment and test data setup.

  • Worked as part of medium to large sized project teams.

  • Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and

  • confluence.

  • Ability to multi-task and be comfortable with frequently changing priorities.

  • Experience working in a CI/CD environment
