What Youll Do
- Connect with subject matter experts and proactively manage your own learning to become familiar with our technology offerings, internal controls landscape, and internal compliance processes.
- Ability to be self-directed and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in cross-functional team environment.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks, projects and priorities, as required.
- Ability to create content from scratch as well as update existing ones.
- Work with compliance and audit team members and other subject matter experts and functional leads to implement timely and effective edits until documentation is ready for publication.
- Proactively manage the document lifecycle (development, periodic review and approval, version control, publishing of approved policies and procedures to the company intranet).
- Suggest improvements to documentation and processes whenever possible, eventually demonstrating ownership of the technical writing function.
- Adhere to design template and company style guide while organizing and writing documentation.
- Enhance and maintain existing documentation to deadline.
- Work with appropriate personnel to make sure that ZS’s compliance workflow management systems are always in sync (configured) with newly documented or updated policies.
- Perform additional duties as required from time to time.
What You’ll Bring
- BS/BE in English, Technical Writing, Engineering, or other relevant field of study.
- Minimum 3-6 years’ core technical writing experience.
- Experience with writing SOPs, policies, user guides and checklists.
- Experience with Visio, Snagit, SharePoint or other technical writing tools.
- Superior writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of SDLC and DDLC.
- Working knowledge of both agile and waterfall methodology.
- Excellent command over the English language (esp. grammar and sentence composition skills).
- Strong experience using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.).
- Outstanding organizational/time management, planning and prioritization skills.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills having worked in a global and cross-collaborative team environment.
- Working knowledge of minimalism as applied to information development.
- Experience working with multiple authoring tools.
- Understanding on component content management system (CCMS).
- Familiarity/working knowledge of various compliance frameworks (e.g. US SOC2, ISO 27001).
