Your New Role

We are seeking an experienced Government Affairs and Public Policy professional to cover an active APAC portfolio on a contract basis.

The role spans across Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Japan and South Korea and requires someone who can operate independently from day one.

This is a senior individual contributor role. The contractor will report to the GVP, Government Affairs and Public Policy, based in Washington D.C.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across APAC markets and assess commercial impact.

  • Manage government and industry association relationships; represent the company at these engagements.

  • Participate in regional and market-specific industry associations; manage coalition positions in coordination with internal stakeholders.

  • Coordinate closely with Legal, Communications, business teams and other relevant teams on active policy and regulatory matters.

  • Review content, as needed.

  • Prepare background briefings, talking points, and policy positions for senior leadership, as needed.

What We Are Looking For 

  • At least 5 years in government affairs or public policy roles with strong APAC exposure.

  • Experience in media and entertainment as well as technology policy preferred.

  • Familiarity with policy issues, such as broadcasting and streaming regulations, copyright protection, online safety and content classification, an advantage.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English + an APAC language a plus.

  • Able to start quickly and manage portfolio with minimal ramp up time.
